Welcome to The Beer League
This guide walks you through setting up your account, forming a team, joining a season, and playing weekly matches.
First-time setup
- Log in with Discord when prompted.
- Go to your profile and add all of your Riot IDs in the format
Summoner#TAG.
- Please list every account you might play on. This helps us mitigate smurfing.
- Set your primary account (your highest-rated one) using the “Make Primary” button in the Linked Riot IDs section.
- Select your preferred roles and optionally check “Looking for Team.”
- If selected, you’ll appear on the Free Agents list and captains can reach out on Discord.
- Request a salary review by clicking “Request salary review.”
- Ratings reset at the start of every season or within 3 months of your last review, whichever comes first.
Teams
Create a team
- Visit the Teams page and click “Create Team.”
- Enter a name and tag, and upload a logo.
- Note: Explicit imagery is not allowed and may result in a permanent ban.
- After creating, you are the captain and can manage your team on your profile under “My Teams.”
Invite teammates
- Go to “Manage Invites” → “Create Invite” → copy the link and send it to your teammate.
- Each invite link:
- Works for 48 hours
- Can be used by one person only (create a new link per teammate)
Join a team
- Simply open a valid invite link while logged in and you’ll be added automatically.
Team limitations
- You can captain up to 2 teams.
- You cannot be on 2 teams in the same season (you may join both teams, but you’ll be locked to the first one that applies to the same season).
- You may be on 2 different teams if they’re in different seasons/divisions.
Joining a season
- When a season is created, it appears on the Seasons page.
- Each season card shows the description, salary cap, start date, and registration deadline—please read these.
- Click the season card and then “Apply Team.”
- On the application form, select your “starting 5.”
- Flexing roles in matches is allowed; this selection is just for application purposes.
- The total salary of your 5 must be less than or equal to the season’s salary cap, or the application will be rejected automatically.
- After submission, admins will review your application and ratings. Once accepted, your team appears under that season’s Teams section.
Weekly matches
- After registration closes, admins generate the schedule on the season page.
- Each week, your captain (or the opponent’s) opens the week’s match link, clicks the “Game N” card, and generates a tournament code.
- Important: Generate a new tournament code for every single game played.
Troubleshooting
